Check Macomb County Arrests

A VINE arrest check in Macomb County tracks one person's custody after an arrest. MI-VINE is the service behind it. The free system reports status from participating agencies. It can send notice after a release, transfer, or escape. Some court-event alerts are available too. It is separate from the county jail roster and from state-prison records. So VINELink may answer a status question fast. The sheriff, the arresting agency, or the court still holds the source booking record. Federal custody falls outside this Michigan service.

Macomb County VINE Arrest Coverage

MI-VINE is Michigan's free, confidential service for custody and case information. Crime victims, families, and the public can reach it at any hour. Participating county-jail data feeds a current status check. People held by the Michigan Department of Corrections follow a separate registration path. That split matters. The Macomb County Jail and a state prison are two different custody systems.

County procurement material calls for a VINE Link interface. It also requires exports of custody, charge, and release data. County planners, in short, required system support for VINE. That does not guarantee speed. Every live record may not reach the public service within a set number of minutes. Treat MI-VINE as a current result. Then confirm anything time-sensitive with the Macomb County Sheriff's Office when safety or travel depends on it.

The official Michigan MI-VINE page displays the statewide service and its registration guidance.

Search Macomb County on VINELink

Start with the state-specific person search, not a general web result. A name can return more than one person. Compare the identity fields, the offender or booking number, the facility, and the status. Results reflect data a participating agency supplied.

  1. Open the Michigan VINELink person search.
  2. Enter the person's name or offender or booking number when known.
  3. Use Macomb County as a location filter if the live form offers it.
  4. Open a plausible result and compare identifiers before relying on it.
  5. Register from the selected record if custody-change notice is needed.

The official person search handles one status lookup at a time. It is not a Macomb County mugshot gallery. Nor is it a full list of everyone recently arrested. A person may have been cited or released. They could be held in a city lockup or moved. Or they may never have been booked into Macomb County Jail at all. Need the source booking entry? The Michigan VINELink search interface shows where a person-level search begins.

Macomb VINE Status Fields

A VINELink result is built around status and notice. It may carry enough identity and custody detail to separate two similar names. It can also flag a later change in custody. Field labels shift. Not every participating record exposes the same set. Read the live result as a status report rather than a full arrest file.

InformationWhat it means
Name or identifierHelps match one person; a name alone is not identity proof.
Custody statusReflects the participating agency's supplied status.
Facility or agencyShows which participating system reports the person.
Event noticeMay cover release, transfer, escape, hearing, or case status.
Registration optionOpens alert delivery choices for the selected record.

A booking photo is not the service's core product. MI-VINE centers on custody status. For a releasable image or incident report, contact the agency that holds that record. A Macomb court docket or clerk is the right source for how a case ends.

Register Macomb County Custody Alerts

Registration attaches an alert request to a chosen person or case. Michigan materials describe telephone, text, email, mobile-app, and TTY access. Which options appear depends on the current interface. Keep the PIN if the system issues one. You may need it to confirm receipt or manage a registration later.

  1. Select the notification choice on the correct person record.
  2. Choose a phone, text, email, or available app delivery method.
  3. Enter accurate contact details and create the requested PIN.
  4. Review the events covered by that registration.
  5. Update the registration when a phone number or email changes.

Calls can arrive overnight. MI-VINE should never be a whole safety plan. An alert cannot replace direct contact with law enforcement in an emergency. The state lists 800-770-7657 as its primary service number and 866-847-1298 for TTY. Macomb's prosecutor page also publishes a VINE help line, 866-277-7477. Verify against the live official page. That step matters if the numbers differ.

The official VINELink registration screen shows the separate alert step. It follows once a person is selected.

This separate screen reinforces that finding a record and enrolling for notices are two distinct actions.

The unit draws one more custody line. A victim should tell the Sheriff. Do this when a defendant sits in county jail. The Michigan Department of Corrections handles notice for people in prison. A transfer may therefore require a new or separate registration. Ask the unit or the receiving agency which system holds the active notification record now.

Macomb VINE Timing Is Not Guaranteed

Macomb County's jail-management procurement paperwork asked bidding vendors a technical question. Could they push transactional data within five minutes? Could they run full syncs three times a day, or on demand? That is a wish list, not a promise. A procurement document describes hoped-for capacity. It does not obligate anyone to post a fresh Macomb County arrest within five minutes.

Plenty of steps sit between an arrest and what a database shows. Intake, identity checks, classification, release, transfer, and data exchange all shape the displayed status. The county also posts no fixed JailTracker refresh schedule. So if MI-VINE returns nothing right after a recent arrest, wait and check again. The Sheriff's official route remains the fallback. Jot down the time of each check. Comparing two results beats treating either one as a permanent archive.

Important: Treat MI-VINE as a live status and alert tool. Confirm urgent Macomb County custody questions directly with the responsible jail or agency.

Note: A procurement target only describes intended integration, so the current agency response and the live MI-VINE result remain the real confirmation of a person's status.

Limits of a VINE Arrest Check

MI-VINE is a notification layer, not the record itself. It does not replace the Macomb County booking record. Nor does it replace the arresting officer's report or a court docket. City lockups fall outside it too. So does federal Bureau of Prisons custody. And Michigan's county-and-state service is separate from the federal DHS-VINE portal. Keep the two straight.

For current county custody, use the Macomb County Jail roster. The arresting police agency holds the origin report, and the proper court handles arraignment and disposition. MDOC OTIS applies only once a person reaches state prison or supervision. For a brand-new arrest, the Arrested Today verification path explains a key gap. A live roster can lag. It can also drop someone already released.

Booking
The intake record created when a jail accepts a person.
Transfer
A move from one facility or custody system to another.
Disposition
The court's outcome, which may differ from the charge entered at booking.
Notification
An automated message about an event reported by a participating system.

MI-VINE answers one question: where is this person in custody right now. Always confirm identity, custody status, and outcome with the agency or court before relying on it.
